Fast and professional translations

For us, quality is a labour of love. Qualified native speakers of the target language carry out all translations we produce.

Translations that match your needs

Depending on the assignment, our translations are subjected to more detailed editing by a second translator in addition to the standard proofreading and quality check. In doing so, we work according to your time constraints and pride ourselves on being able to present you with professional and high-quality translations within a short period.

Sprachen Koll GmbH also covers a wide range of subject areas. Our translations are exclusively human translations – this way, you can be sure that cultural aspects, target groups, the finest linguistic nuances, and other components in the target language are considered.

This is the only way to create a natural and appealing translation. Since language is a very complex system that does not necessarily follow logical rules (except for syntax, perhaps) and is constantly evolving, a machine often cannot reach meaningful decisions about translation. The intricacies of cultural aspects, style and the decision of the correct vocabulary based on them cannot yet be recognised and considered by machines.

Certified translations

Official documents such as annual financial statements, tender documents, birth certificates, police certificates of good conduct, certificates and apostilles are just a small selection of the documents that we translate for you into the language of your choice, complete with the certification formula, signature and round seal.

Express translations

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does a professional translation cost?

Unfortunately, there is no general answer to this question. Translations are as varied and individual as the texts you send us for professional translation. Our prices are based on several factors, such as which language is translated, who does the translation, what delivery date is needed, etc. That’s why we don’t provide fixed “per word” or “per line” quotes here but rather tailor our offer to you just as individual as your needs are. However, you can be sure of one thing: Sprachen Koll GmbH’s prices are always competitive, and you receive the highest quality through a professional translation!

What constitutes the quality of a good translation?

A good translation combines different aspects. On the one hand, the correct assessment of the target group (e.g. young people, senior citizens) and the subject area (e.g. legal text, technical text) and, on the other hand, the choice of the correspondingly correct terminology and address for the respective target group by the translator. Added to this is, among other things, the translator’s specialised knowledge of the respective field (pharmacy, law, technology) and, of course, a perfect command of the target language in terms of grammar, sentence structure and cultural peculiarities. A qualified translator is familiar with these particularities and knows which regional, cultural and target group-specific aspects need to be considered. This process is called the localisation of a text, and this localisation has a crucial influence on the success of the message you want to send. A machine, literal translation cannot perform this complex step.

Who is allowed to certify translations?

Only a sworn/authorised translator may certify a translation. It is not possible for a notary, for example, to certify a translation. He may only certify the authenticity or a copy of a document. Sprachen Koll GmbH has a pool of permanent and freelance translators who are publicly appointed and sworn and therefore authorised to certify your translation and make it official.

When do translations need to be certified?

When authorities or offices require documents in another language to confirm their authenticity officially. With signature, date and round stamp, the translator legally confirms that the translation is true and fully corresponds to the original.

What is the difference between a translator and an interpreter?

A translation is the written transfer of a text from a source language to a target language and can take place or has already taken place at any time. Interpreting means the direct, oral and person-to-person transmission of the spoken word. Sprachen Koll GmbH, your translation agency in Austria, has a large network of permanent and freelance translators and interpreters covering almost all language combinations.

How does the translation process work?

Your customer request reached Sprachen Koll GmbH translation agency, and a quotation is required. To create it, we need the document, the target language(s) you require and the date you need the translation. We analyse your document in terms of volume, degree of difficulty, word repetitions, source text format and delivery deadline. On this basis, we will prepare an offer for you. Once you have accepted our offer, we will select a suitable translator and proofreader or, in the case of very large projects, several translators, and your translation will be produced. After completion and checking by the proofreader, your translation will be reviewed by the responsible project manager and then delivered to you on the agreed date.
